Sade and John Legend together - June 30th!

evenko, Live Nation and the Montreal International Jazz Festival are pleased to welcome  SADE and John Legend to the Bell Centre, this Thursday, June 30th

Following the platinum selling success of Soldier of Love, Sade kicked off her North American tour on June 16th in Baltimore, Maryland at the 1st Mariner’s Arena and the reviews received so far are more than excellent:

"For two hours, Sade led the near-capacity crowd through a show that was life-affirming."   Washington Post Review

"Ms. Adu led a master class in minimal exertion, a study in how to wring huge effect out of the smallest suggestions. " The New York Times
"Sade sparkles at the Nassau Coliseum." The Star Ledger

"Sade Delivers Epic Performance on Tour. The iconic “Smooth Operator” wows fans on her North American tour after a decade away."
"Flawless ! Sade does it like no other!"
" Ms. Adu's voice is seductive, but the most admirable thing about Sade may be her work schedule. She perfects, but does not rush. Her newest record, Soldier of Love, came out in 2010. Lovers Rock, her previous album, arrived in 2000. The one before that came out in 1992.  When she resurfaces, she is celebrated like a passing comet. Soldier of Love went to No. 1."  The Wall Street Journal

Sade are:  Sade Adu (vocals),  Stuart Matthewman (guitar, sax), Andrew Hale (keyboards) and  Paul S. Denman (bass) with outstanding music collaboration from: Leroy Osbourne (vocals, guitar), Tony Momrelle (vocals),  Pete Lewinson (drums), Ryan Waters (guitar) and Karl Vanden Bossche (percussion) They will  will perform songs from her collection of timeless hits including songs from her critically acclaimed album, Soldier Of Love which secured the # 1 album spot upon its release in February. Selling over a million copies to-date, Soldier Of Love spent three weeks in the number one spot.
Sade was also nominated for two Grammy Awards this year, and won for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for Soldier of Love.

Her last Montreal performance was on March 18, 1993 at the Forum.

A six-time Grammy Award winner, the talented John Legend was once again nominated at the 2011 Grammys and won 3 awards for: Best R&B Song (“Shine”), Best R&B Album (Wake Up) and Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance (“Hang On In There”).
