Lil Wayne on the Road Again!

Due to popular demand, iconic rapper and label owner, Lil Wayne, in the midst of a high charting radio single “6 Foot 7 Foot” and the pending release of his hotly anticipated 10th studio album The Carter IV, will extend his 2011 North American tour, the I Am Still Music tour, heading back out on to the road in July and touring through September.

The Multi-platinum and Grammy award winning recording artist, who has sold over 10 million records and whose multi-platinum 2008 album, The Carter III, shatered records by selling over one million copies in its first week of release, successfully toured North America on the first leg of his 25 city I Am Still Music trek, selling out arenas across the country. The second leg of the I Am Still Music Tour, featuring performances in over 40 cities, will move through both arenas and amphitheatres, with an outdoor festival feel.

Hip hop heavyweight and fan favorite Rick Ross, whose latest effort, Teflon Don, debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified Gold, will continue on the explosive tour.

In addition to Rick Ross, Lil Wayne will be joined by Keri Hilson, the Grammy nominated R&B/pop singer whose critically acclaimed album No Boys Allowed’s first single “Pretty Girl Rock” reached #1 on the Billboard charts; Far East Movement (aka FM), whose single, "Like A G6," from their debut album Free Wired reached triple platinum-plus status and the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, making the group the first Asian-American group with a #1 single in the USA.

A dynamic performer celebrated for his endless energy and high voltage live show, Lil Wayne’s I Am Still Music tour continues to be his strongest to date.  The I Am Still Music tour follows Lil Wayne’s unparalleled touring success in the 2008 – 2009 year during which Lil Wayne performed 78 headline shows across domestic arenas and amphitheatres in 9 months, grossing over $40 million USD, making him hip hop’s most profitable touring artist and securing him the cover of Billboard Magazine.

Lil Wayne recently released “6 Foot 7 Foot”, the first single off his heavily anticipated The Carter IV album, slated for a Spring 2011 release via Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Motown. Produced by Shondrae 'Bangladesh' Crawford and featuring a verse from Young Money newcomer Cory Gunz, "6 Foot, 7 Foot" is a dynamic exercise in word play and flow in which Lil Wayne rhymes over a sample of Harry Belafonte's "Banana Boat Song (Day-O)."
