Before June 28th, we didn't know who Luey V was, but thanks to DJ Drizzle, not only do we know who Luey V is, we're rocking hard to dudes debut single, "Jump Out Thurrrr"!  Going in on this smash single, you gotta love the punchline "we be so deep we drowning!"

Luey V is an upcoming talent out of the Midwest ready to showcase his music to the world. Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Luey V has experienced ups and downs while pursuing his dream, but has been working hard to accomplish his goals and is determined to get where he strives to be.

Born Marvell Rice, Luey V began rapping at the young age of nine. As he grew older and started taking music more seriously, he started working diligently in the studio and at 14, signed with well-known production super duo, The Trak Starz. After five years of working with The Trak Starz, Luey V decided it was time to step out on his own. The experience was a learning lesson, and also served as motivation to go harder. His hard work seemed to start paying off after he met producer, Laudie On Da Track to create his first hit called “Do Ya Own”. The catchy tune caught the attention of many, including SRC/Universal Records exec, Steve Rifkind. At 21, Luey V signed a deal with Universal and the song started taking off, earning him tons of radio play, shows, and even premiered the video on BET’s infamous 106 & Park. 

After the success of “Do Ya Own”, Luey V continued on his grind and started his own independent label called Namebrand Music Group, where he plans to sign other talents. Although he hasn’t signed an extension with Universal, that’s not stopping his movement. Luey V’s next hit, “Jump Out Thurr” is another catchy tune that is sure to capture the attention of all who hear it. 

Prepping for his fifth mixtape, “Spurr of the Moment” hosted by Bigga Rankin, Luey V is ready to take the music world by storm. He wants to maintain his own identity, while giving the world a taste of his life through his body of work. He is inspired by his environment, and is determined to just be HIMSELF, all while consistently working to solidify his spot in the music industry.
