been 10 years since the release of the Bellyas
riddim, but that's how long it's been!
Produced by Ward 21, this riddim musically embraced
the roughness of Dancehall, while bringing out the
lyrical skills of performers such as Spragga Benz,
Bushman, Sean Paul and Mad Cobra to name a
few; there are approximately 35 artists / chunes
on the riddim!
Previously this riddim was profiled as a Throwback,
but didn't include the vocals of Bushman, Frisco Kid,
Goofy, Hawkeye, Jack-A-Diamond, Kiprich, Mad
Cobra, Mad Anjuu, Mega Banton, Merciless, Mr. Vegas,
Red Rat, Sean Paul, Spragga Benz, Tanto Metro
and Devante; all of the above are included in today's
download pack.
Not to be biased, but of all the chunes on the riddim,
Red Rat's chune "Skin-A-Slap" has to be the funniest
as Double R intro's the chune with the lyrics: What
coulda mek dah bway deh inna dih batroom suh long /
me hear skin ah slap / an mih know ah him one / but
John / him gone in deh wid dih lotion ...." Lawddddd!
