Follow Your Bliss!

Chances are if you have a dream that you want to live you've never lived it before. Which means you don't have the feeling place or the experiential reference point for what living your dreams feels like.

Why do you think a guy like Donald Trump can go from such abundance, to bankrupt and then bounce back? Because his set point in his mind and body is one of abundance. Not only does he know what it feels like to have an abundant life, he has the knowledge it takes to create that kind of life.

The bottom line is that Trump could come back from being financially down and out because he knew it was possible, knew what his desired outcome felt like and knew what to do in order to make it happen.

The same kind of outcome is available to all of us. The main pattern I see, over and over again with many folks in the TDL Community, is that they don't have the belief that it is possible to live their dreams; they don't know what it feels like, and even if they believed and knew what it felt like, they don't know what action to take in order to make their dreams come true.

The potential, the possibility for living our dreams exists, but many of us just don't believe it. And that lack of belief stops us dead in our tracks. And if we do believe, perhaps we don't know what action to take - and that stops us dead in our tracks. Sometimes, especially if we are entrepreneurs (like I am), we don't know what the next three steps will be. But we know what the next step is, and we take it. There is a fine line between having a plan for success and allowing ourselves to be guided by The Uni-verse.

There is a sweet spot that exists between knowledge, belief, action and faith where we must live. A plan without faith doesn't carry the spiritual power with it. Faith without a plan isn't grounded enough to have any impact in the real world. And not believing in yourself or the Whispers of The Uni-verse means we are no longer creating our lives, but instead letting our circumstances dictate what is possible for us.

Since many of us have never lived our dreams, we MUST surround ourselves with people who have BEEN THERE BEFORE! They are our Wayshowers, our mentors and those who can help guide our path to our desired outcome. They know it's possible and can help us create a strategy and course of action that has the greatest chance of success.

Whatever you want to be, do or live, getting advice from people who excel in your field will be invaluable. People who haven't lived the dream don't know what is truly possible. They are where they are because they are who they are. That is true across the board. Life has infinite possibilities of outcomes; it is up to US to create the outcome. We take a massive leap towards success when we surround ourselves with people who have been there before and listen to what they have to say. It's important to still trust ourselves, but if we can't see exactly where we want to go - mentors and Wayshowers can help us get there.

An Invitation to Abundance

Abundance is something that many of us do not have a proper perspective on. We are on The Path; we desire abundance yet it eludes us. Many of you have heard that money is the root of all evil.

The actual translation from the original text is "the worship of money is the root of all evil".

That's a big difference.

Money is just energy in physical form. Energy is what all of creation is made of. To hate money is to hate energy and to hate energy is to hate existence.

We just need to get our priorities straight. Money is not a cause; money is an effect. The cause of money in a spiritual life is The Uni-verse.

A MAJOR shift happens when we take our eyes off of the current situation of "limited finances" and focus on the abundance of the Source. I know that in this moment that doesn't pay your bills.

But, over time, if you keep it up, your life will change.

I went from a guy with a dream to inspire people with NO idea of how or what to do and just took direction from The Uni-verse, one day at a time. Plus, I don't do what I do for the money. Sure, I like making a living, but I have and would do what I do for free. I did TDL for almost 4 years EVERYDAY before making a dime from it.

Now, thankfully, it sustains me and I am beyond grateful. But that wasn't always the case.

But what I can tell you is that from the beginning of this journey I have placed all my problems, desires and needs at the feet of The Uni-verse and turned it all over. It was scary as hell, but I never went without. I had to make some very gnarly sacrifices, like living in an 8x8 room for a year that was only big enough for my bed (lol). But, I had belief and passion and most importantly - TRUST.

I believed and trusted that no problem or bill was too big for The Uni-verse. I also followed my own intuition above what ANYONE else told me. I also still hold the belief that the nature of The Uni-verse is abundance and so that is my natural birthright, I just have to allow it.

Money is not evil, but loving money more than you love The Uni-verse and yourself sets you up for an insane ride. Money comes and goes like the tide, but you will always have you and the Love of the Uni-verse.

When we take our love off of money and place it where it should be, we begin to thrive in ways we never knew possible. It may be scary at first, but over time this will and does work.

The Path is a leap of faith. We must have faith that as we are walking our Path that even our bills will be taken care of, sometimes through effort and hard work and sometimes through Grace.

Let us take our self-worth and feelings of security off of something that always changes (how much money we have at the moment in cash or in stock) and put our faith in something that never changes, the Love of the Living Uni-verse that we came from and live within.

Money is a tool. Money is energy in physical form. The highest form of energy in The Uni-verse is Love; put your faith and eyes towards that, take actions towards that, and money will follow in perfect time.

Your job is to trust and make the first move. 

Messages from the Universe

The universe is always offering us signs to help us, we just need to slow down and pay attention.

The universe can often relay messages to us through signs. Often, we are too busy to stop and consider what may or may not be a sign. We may ask the universe for guidance, yet fail to recognize the sign it sends us in response. Learning the subtle language of signs can help you interpret the guidance the universe sends your way. We all have been blessed with a connection that allows the universe to communicate directly with us. To be able to understand the information relayed over that connection, however, it is necessary that we learn to pay attention and know what to look for.

To see and correctly interpret a sign, you must open your heart and mind to the universe and invite its guidance into your life. Many of us are blind to the signs we receive because we expect angels or our spirit guides to speak to us in a booming voice and tell us exactly what we need to hear. But signs are usually of this earth and therefore easier to encounter. A song lodged in your mind or a number that seems to pop up everywhere you look after you’ve asked the universe for guidance can both be signs. Signs may come through the animal world, from strangers, or jump out of a book in the form of an insightful passage. A sign may be a direct answer to one of your questions. Other signs may point you in the right direction, warn of impending difficulties, or show you a different way. If you want the universe to send you a sign, tell it that you are ready and willing to accept its guidance.

Not everything you hear or see will be a sign. If you are receptive and patient, however, the signs you receive will become easier to recognize. It is important to listen to your intuition. A sign can mean many things to different people, and only you can decipher a sign’s meaning is for you. As you practice reading the signs and following their guidance, the universe will send more of them your way.

 

Take A Risk!

It's amazing how much life can change for the better when you take risks on behalf of your dreams.

This isn't some airy-fairy statement. The Uni-verse made you to fulfill your purpose, so It WILL support you in doing so.

So many of us live lives that are cut off, shut down and in our comfort zone. We value certainty over love & our happiness. In the end, we'll come to see that there is no certainty in life, only the appearance of certainty. In reality, its actually riskier to not take risks 'cuz when you get to the end of you're life, when you take your final breath, a thought that should cross no one's mind will come up - "what if I had...".

Coming to the end of your life and wondering "what if " is a fate worse than any risk you can take now. None of us get out of life alive, so what we must remember is that it is the loving risks, adventure and our contributions to the world that count. Everything else is secondary.

The people who change the world and who truly have happiness live consciously or unconsciously like this every day. They choose to expand outside their comfort zone, instead of retreat into it. They choose to let Love win and focus on being kind instead of being right. They value scars over perfection. They add more value to life than they take from it. They let The Uni-verse guide them through their heart, instead of letting the fears of their head run their life. And when they come to the end, they rejoice, for they have been used up completely, given everything and extracted every bit of love, joy and adventure from life.

Don't shut down. Let's us not retreat into our comfort zones. Let's step out. Let's stand up. Let's make a stand that today and everyday forward to let our faith be stronger than our fear. We prove this to ourselves through action, not just words. We back up our faith through taking constant and persistent action towards the things we say we believe and have faith in.

We set an intention to not be one of those people who gets to the end of life and wonders "what if ?", but instead we say, "I stood for something and I made a difference".

The promise of Life is that you are taken care of, you are supported and dreams are real. We have been given a life not to live in fear, but to step forward and live out of gifts and our dreams. This cannot happen if you do not make the choice in every moment to be ALL IN when it comes to your dreams.

There is a mysterious force that helps us when we risk on behalf of our dreams. This is The Uni-verse silently guiding our paths, opening the perfect doors for us and closing the dead ends.

Roll with the punches, go with the flow, let go and consciously design your life to be lived on behalf of your dreams instead of your fear. And remember, how long must you try? That's right. Until.

Who do you want to be when you look back on your life? Do you want to wonder "what if"? Or smile knowing you gave it your all. Right now, you have a choice to change the outcome of that moment. What'll it be?

Delay is not Denial!

There are SUPER frustrating times on The Path. Instead of fighting against frustrating times with more frustration, anger and resentment, take a higher road today.

Remember, a delay is not a denial. The Uni-verse's timing is always perfect and if something isn't quite manifesting yet, there is a reason. So, today, instead of choosing to be angry, hurt or just plain ole pissed off, take a BIIIIG DEEP BREATH and know that everything is happening in perfect time. It might piss you off to know that it's not happening in YOUR time, but it is happening in the perfect time.

Do what you can do that's within your power today and let go of the rest. There's no use letting the things you can't control dictate your level of happiness.

So, instead of choosing frustration because you think you won't be provided for or taken care of, choose to see the circumstance through the eyes of faith, and then relax, let it go and enjoy the rest of your day doing what you can.

We are not all powerful beings, though sometimes our ego would like us to think we are. There is also a tremendous gift in not always getting what you want. There are gentle and compassionate Hands that are guiding your life.

So instead of fighting against what you cannot control today, let go and choose to see the delay as a miracle in disguise sent by One who loves you, who has your best interest in mind and Who is setting up an even greater outcome than you can now imagine.

Opportunity in Chaos

When you start living your life from the inside out, when you take your power back from people, places and things, when you start trusting The Uni-verse - there is one very important thing to keep in mind: chaos happens.

But here's the thing about chaos - when you're on The Path, what seems like chaos is many times Grace in Action.

You see, we expect this great big vast and intelligent Uni-verse to act according to human reason. But the problem with that is that what we humans actually know about The Uni-verse is so limited, compared to what there is to know, that many times we see chaos, which is just part of a greater and wiser order that we do not understand.

Also, because we don't know what's going to happen next in our lives, it is Spiritually incorrect to assume the worst when you perceive chaos happening in your life. The Uni-verse speaks in chaos, change and Grace many times appears to be chaos, and right before revelation is usually some form of ego death.

What does that mean?

It means that for us to understand and come into harmony with greater Truths about ourselves and The Uni-verse, our old perceptions AND fears have to be shed (aka die) for new insight to come. Knowing this cycle can be SO helpful when you are going about the business of manifesting your dreams, creating a loving relationship or simply just signing up for the adventure that should be your life.

When you lean into your faith (both in yourself and in The Uni-verse), you invite chaos (aka a higher order of living) into your life. It is part of our calling on The Path to develop emotional fitness and proper insight to see that when things "seem" to be going "wrong" or "changing", not to freak out and apply some doomsday meaning to these events of our lives. Instead, we step back, observe and know that in any seeming change, crisis or chaos is both potential risk AND potential opportunity.

It is those of us who have trained our mind to see and trust the bigger picture (knowing that The Uni-verse is FOR us and never against us) that benefit most from change, chaos and crisis. It is Spiritually backwards to ask for an easy life that works out perfectly AND desire faith in yourself and The Uni-verse. Faith counts the MOST when the ish is hitting the fan.

So today, in your life, whether it be financially, romantically, emotionally, spiritually or any only aspect of your life, if there is chaos or change, just decide that The Uni-verse is working on your behalf and choose to assign a constructive and positive meaning to what's happening in your life. Ask The Uni-verse to reveal the Grace of this moment to you. See the opportunity instead of the fear; decide that you have the power to not only make the best of this situation, but to actually make a better life for yourself BECAUSE of this situation.

For your dreams to come true it's vital that you learn to be flexible enough to adapt to and make the best of change. In fact, don't just make the best of change and the unexpected, get EXCITED by it!

Grace Happens

A lot of folks tend to think, when they are pursuing their dreams, that when things aren't going the way they "want" or the way they "planned", that they should give up. Many of my clients and readers want to give up when things get a little tough. And it's interesting to me to see how easy it is for people to BELIEVE the negative voice in their head, far more than their positive and neutral voices.

It's almost like we are so afraid of getting our heart broken by our dream not coming true that any sign of setback, let down or unmet expectations are an excuse to stop trying.

But see, the thing is, walking on The Path will very rarely ever meet your "expectations". The Uni-verse speaks in paradox. What looks big, is usually small; what looks scary is usually joyful; what seems impossible is very much achievable and what seems hard can be easy. It's just being able to understand the paradoxical nature of The Uni-verse as well as having the emotional fitness and humility to not have to buy into the thought that everything has to go "your way".

Instead of judging a situation as "bad", a "setback" or a "quitting point", look at it this way: see GRACE.

You have no idea how protected, guided and looked after you are. When you look back at this moment in a few weeks, months or years, you very well will look back and see a blessing instead of a setback. So train your mind to refrain from judging a situation. Believe in grace. Instead of running away from your dreams, just sit with the uncomfortable feelings, meditate, take care of yourself and let them pass through you.

Do not run away because it is uncomfortable. Stay BECAUSE it is uncomfortable. Let your fears be purified by facing them. Let your judgments fade by not reacting to them and seeing how they play out over time. Humble yourself and know that things don't have to go YOUR WAY for you to be happy. There could be a way that is being guided from The Uni-verse that is much greater than you could ever imagine.

Emotional fitness, humility and a grace-filled mind will take you where you need to go. Let go of the judgments. Let go of the expectations and just show up fully with whatever you are feeling today. But do not turn back. Stay in the fire. You are not being burned - you are being purified.

Mess Becomes Message!

Turn Your Mess Into A Message!   My friend Don Nash said that to me... I think it's genius.

The most important part of life, and the only part of life that we can truly control is our perception. We may have influence over other parts of our life, but the only thing we have 100% control over is how we CHOOSE to perceive the events of our lives. 

One of the FUNdamental messages of TDL is that you are not a victim, but a co-Creator of your life with The Uni-verse.

It's easy to play the victim and a lot of people out there will try to convince you that it's easier to blame other people for the circumstances of your life. One of the reasons it's easy to be a victim is because you give away the response-ability of the outcome and circumstances of your life to some other person or entity.

As a victim, we tell ourselves that it's not our fault; it's the Government's fault, or our significant other's fault, or our friend's fault or our parents' fault. If you really get creative you can imagine a whole range of people to blame for your life.

But the truth is that you are the one making the choices in your life. YOU have the free will and ability to CHOOSE to connect to Love, or not.

If you're like me, you've probably made a mistake or two in your life (or dozens... lol). For a long time it was easy to blame people for the outcome. When things didn't go the way I WANTED them too I would just make it someone else's fault.

But, I started to learn differently. Thanks to teachers like Caroline Myss, Wayne Dyer, Tony Robbins, M.Scott Peck, Jan Shepherd, Sophie Chiche and most recently Jesus, I began to learn how to take my power back. I began to see that the way we thrive is by making out INNER WORLD stronger than the outer world.

Tony Robbins will tell you that the story you tell yourself about your life will dictate the outcome of it. Caroline Myss reminds us that CHOICE is the most important power in The Uni-verse. Dr. Dyer teaches that it is the power of your INTENTION that forms the outcome of your life. Mr. Peck will tell you that life is hard and that when you realize and accept that, that life is no longer hard. Jan would tell you to put the loving first and to keep your dreams and visions grounded and in real time. And Sophie would remind us to love ourselves big time and to keep our thoughts in alignment with what we want, rather than what we don't want. And of course, the big JC teaches unconditional Love and says we can experience this Love when we have right thought, take right action and keep our focus off of ourselves and keep it instead on Love.

How could you possibly let yourself be a victim knowing all these things?

If you really get that these lessons are REAL and TRUE and WORK, then, if you're like me, you will feel called to turn your mess into a message.

Add value to other people's lives and value will be added to your own. Being of service and taking the wounds of your life and turning them into lessons and sharing your experience with others will do more good to you and the planet than almost anything else.

To be human is to be messy, to screw up and to not get it right - that just comes with the territory. But it's not right thought or action to assume the role of the victim. It may seem safer and it may even seem true. But what's true is that you can take the wounds, messes and tragedies if your life and use them for good.

You can take your power back from people, groups and anything else that says you are powerless. You are POWERFUL, but you have to choose to be in your power and to step up.

Keep your thoughts on Love. Take and assume respons-ability for your life. Things may have happened in your past that you have no control over. But what you DO have control over is how you respond to those events. Do you want to let those events get the best of you, or do you want to rise to the occasion, pick yourself up by the bootstraps and say, "I got this?"

You may not have been able to control what happened in the past, but you have 100% control over what you CHOOSE to believe and as a result where you go from here.

All of You!

For many years there were a lot of things about myself that I hated.

I just could not accept myself.

I could love other people just fine, but when it came to me I held the bar so high that ANY flaw, any mistake or any misstep was not only wrong, it made me a bad person in my own mind.

I had no connection to my Creator; I didn't even know what that meant or felt like. Love was some Valentine's Day gimmick and even though I seemed "confident" on the outside, it was false. It was cockiness used to cover up insecurity. That insecurity ran deep. I thought I had to have all this money, all these things to be worthy of a woman's love. I thought I had to be uber-successful to earn my parents respect. I thought I was nothing without achieving in the world.

All that has come crashing down. I have learned through much pain and trials that all those worldly things do not define me. Not because I'm in denial, but because I have learned that outer circumstances change ALL the time and that if I defined myself by what is happening on the outside, then when

Things change, who I am also changes.

That is a setup for craziness.

Also, as I have cultivated a deeper relationship with my Creator, I've come to accept myself for my flaws and insecurities. I was made the way I was. As Lady Gaga says, "There's nothing wrong with loving who you are, 'cuz He made you perfect babe".

I realized this past weekend that the things I dislike about myself have been created in me by The Uni-verse. It's almost as if how I programmed, with my flaws, insecurities and "bad habits", are all habits that eventually lead me back to Love.

The Uni-verse knows how to get my attention, too. Most of the major changes and discoveries in my Spiritual life have come from women. My mom has been a major spiritual influence on me. And most of my life, The Uni-verse has sent me my next spiritual steps through really cute girls who any guy would be crazy not to have a crush on. It's actually a recurring theme in my life.

I was reflecting on this the other day and beating myself up for it. I didn't like it. It made me think I was vain, or unloving, or that there was something wrong with me. But I had an insight and realized that's how I was created by The Uni-verse. That's how I can be spoken to. It kind of like going into France and speaking Japanese. The Uni-verse talks to us in the language that we understand.

The two places I can be spoken to best are through entrepreneur's I respect and women I admire. And as soon as I realized this is how I was programmed and that my Creator loved me anyway, everything became lighter.

Now I'm not saying that this is the only way I learn, or that the only people I learn from are entrepreneur's or women; I see everyone I meet as a teacher in some way. But when The Uni-verse really wants to drive home a point, that's how It does it.

I started to see after I realized this that there are a lot of other "flaws" that I have that The Uni-verse has used for good. Take my deeeeep unmet desire to love and be loved by a woman. That pain of unfulfilled love has been used to teach me how to love myself AND create TDL in the process.

Pretty amazing, huh?

That's how compassionate The Uni-verse is. It knows us perfectly. When we can learn to love ourselves as The Uni-verse loves us, flaws and all, the charge goes away. The self-judgment goes away. We step into self-acceptance and as a result can give and receive better.

From that place of self-acceptance we then have the inner conviction to create any kind of outer world we desire. We are undefined by the outer world, and rather defined by inner conviction and Love of our Creator.

This is how we connect with the unchanging. No longer defined by outer circumstances, our deep love of ourselves right where we are is solid ground to from which to live life. In this day and age of massive consumerism and "magazine beauty" driven fashion, radical self-acceptance and self-love is a revolutionary stance.

Join the revolution! :o) What can you love about yourself today? Ask The Uni-verse how you can use your "flaws", "insecurities" and "bad habits" for your growth and success. There is an answer in there - I guarantee it. All you gotta do is ask!

"Dear Uni-verse, show me how to love and accept these crazy parts of myself! Show me how to use them the way You intended them to be used. Show me how to see the beautiful gifts in my flaws, my insecurities and my bad habits! Show me how to accept myself as You made me."

Jealousy!

Ever get jealous? Yeah, me too.

It's only natural. But, did you know that jealousy has its roots in lack consciousness? As I observe myself getting jealous, the only time it happens is when I forget that the love, abundance or success that I wish to have is already there for me. It happens when I step away from my purpose and The Uni-verse's will for my life and forget that I'm already taken care of.

I've come to believe that The Uni-verse will not withhold from you the things that are for your greatest good. So, what's that mean?

It means that when you walk in your purpose, when you are doing what you Love and expressing your gifts, all your Heart's deepest desires WILL be given to you in perfect time. Where jealousy arises for me is when I forget that all is already being done FOR me instead of TO me.

The two places I get caught up in jealousy most are in business and, of course, with women.  I mean, it's only natural. But it can be SUPER unhealthy. Focusing on what others have or who they're with takes your focus off of your purpose, your gifts and your Path. Instead of being in your flow, you see what you believe you are lacking of what The Uni-verse "isn't giving you". But again, I repeat, The Uni-verse will never withhold from you the things that are meant to be yours!

I'm trying (key word: TRYING) to stay in a mindset that the success of others only leads to more of my own and that if there's someone I like and it's not working out, to stay in the space of faith that the perfect person will show up in the perfect time.

This used to be a lot harder for me when I was first starting on The Path. I had a strong habit to let my Negative Mind run the show. But as time goes on and I see how things turn out, I understand that I have been guided and protected with every step.

The things I pined over ended up not being right. The businesses I was jealous over didn't create the kind of company that I thought they would. And, in setting others free I have been freed to dive deep and co-create my life the way that I truly desire.

It all comes back to remembering who you are and Who made you. To remember that all the things that are for your greatest good will show up in perfect time. There is no lack in The Uni-verse and the only lack that exists in our life is within our own minds.

I've come to know that my only job is to show up and do the work that's in front of me, one day at a time and then to surrender the outcome and the miracles to The Uni-verse. The work is your job; the miracles are The Uni-verse's job.

If I could sum it up I will say this: there is great treasure that's waiting to be revealed to you one day at a time. Your job is to show up, do you work and let go. The rest is a mind game that doesn't serve your purpose OR help you express your gifts at the highest level.

When jealousy pops up, remember Love, remember who you are and know you will be and currently are provided for in the best way possible. Then take your power back, send people love and let the gifts of The Uni-verse be revealed.

Relationships are the glue!

Relationships are the glue for the lesson. We attract the people we need in our lives in order to learn the most valuable lessons.

I think it's safe to say that it's a Uni-versal statement that everyone wants to love and be loved.

It's also true that you can only BE LOVED by someone to the same degree that you love yourself AND you can only truly love someone to the degree that you love yourself.

Now, my inner critic immediately says, "That's B/S! I loved my EX with all my heart!" I tell myself that while on the surface that is true, if I look deeper, my last relationship was created from a place of my own low self-esteem. And as a result, the partner I chose was at the same "vibration" or in the same place as me. Why? Because in this Uni-verse, it's a Law that: "that which is liken to itself is drawn".

So, in my own low self-esteem, I loved her all I "could", but wasn't paying attention to my own needs, not loving myself and so eventually resentment built up within me. Then my love turned into anger, sadness and depression.

So, as you can imagine, that relationship ended. That was 2004. I haven't been in a long term relationship since. Why? Well the first 4 years I was so angry "at women", that I wasn't interested in letting another one in. But I started to learn that I played a major part in the outcome of that relationship.

If you're like me you love big and you want to go deep. When you go there, it's a vulnerable place - that place of intimate connection with your partner on a Soul level. When you surrender and show that part of yourself, if you are "betrayed", then it's only natural to close up and protect yourself. But if that is all you do, you will never be able to fully love again.

The solution is to learn the lesson and forgive yourself and the messenger (aka your ex). When I entered my last relationship, I had a TON of blind spots. I couldn't, ' "see red flags". So after that relationship ended and the 4 years of "blaming" women was over, I took my power back.

I realized that all the things I had wished "she had done differently" were actually my lessons to learn about who I have to become OR what my standards should be. The resentments I projected onto her were actually my own shortcomings or growth areas.

It took A LOT of humility to recognize this. And even more forgiveness of her and myself to eventually learn the lessons and let it go.

When you see your past relationship, not through the eyes of resentment, anger and sadness, but through the eyes of the Co-Creator that you are, you begin to see the lessons rather than the resentments.

And when you see the lessons, then you can send that person love, gratitude and forgiveness. And when you reach that place, you will have prepared yourself energetically, mentally and spiritually for your next love, which, if you truly learned the lessons, will be EPIC.

Can you send your EX love today? Can you learn the lessons and them bless them for being the teacher that you chose to learn these lessons through?

If you want big love, this is the humbling, yet freeing process that you gotta go through to graduate and welcome a better kind of love into your life.

The Abundance Within You!

As I was going to San Francisco this last week to meet with possible investors, I started to feel small and unworthy. So I asked The Uni-verse what I should do. The response I got was: "You are not going up to San Francisco to beg for abundance, but to represent the abundance that is already within you."

This realization changed everything. Instead of meeting these possible partners from a place of lack, I was given the insight on how to meet them as equals.

It's interesting how most of my life I wasn't representing the abundance within me. I kept outsourcing it - to people, to money, power, prestige and many other outside places. I felt an extreme sense of comfort and happiness going to up to meet with these folks who could dramatically change my life with one decision. There was no fear. There was no anxiety. There was no neediness.

I felt at home in my skin and as an equal. It was wonderful to be able to trust The Uni-verse and know that the best outcome would happen. And applying what I learned last week about rejection, I also knew that no matter the outcome, it would be perfect.

I think this is what our Souls really know and what The Uni-verse really wants for us. To no longer chase and beg from an inner place of lack, but to remember who we really are and Where and Who we came from.

This is what Wayne Dyer means when he says: "Abundance is not something you create, it's something you tune into". The abundance of The Uni-verse, be it money, love or anything else is already there. Our job is to get in alignment with the abundance that The Uni-verse WANTS TO GIVE US.

You can't fill a cup with wine that is full of water. You must empty the cup of water for it to be filled with wine. You can't give abundantly to someone who doesn't have the self-esteem and confidence to stop chasing and open up and receive abundance.

Know this: YOU ARE and WILL BE PROVIDED FOR. When you step out into The Path and begin to realize your unique gifts, you shift you power from belief in man-made reason and timing to that of something much larger, which is timing and reason of the Divine Uni-verse.

I realized this week that our job is not to beg of The Uni-verse from a place of lack, but to represent the abundance of The Uni-verse from a place of already knowing we have it. I'm starting to see that the goal isn't so much worrying if The Uni-verse will provide, but switching and starting to walk in the knowing that when you're on The Path, The Uni-verse WILL provide.

Let Go and Let the Uni-Verse!

It's my bet that most of the folks reading this blog are either living in Western society or are highly influenced by Western society. Because of this, I am also going to make the assumption, that like me, you are an achiever.

That is, you love getting things done, coming in and taking charge, making things happen and setting yourself a part from "the pack" and that when you REALLY put your mind to things, those things get done.

But I bet, if you're like me, that there is also probably a lot of confusion about how to be an "achiever" and still be on The Path. Here are two tips I figured out:

1. You'll never get it all done.
2. It's not your job to work yourself to the bone from a place of lack, but to represent the fullness that is already within you.

Now, this isn't a prescription for laziness. No. But it is a prescription for happiness.

You see, as a child of The Uni-verse, you are provided for, you are loved and you are guided. When you work WITH The Uni-verse, you realize that you are only 50% of the equation. You are not the creator of your life, you are the "CO"-creator of your life. What's that mean? It means that 49% of how your life turns out is up to you and 51% of how your life turns out is on The Uni-verse.

Think of it like this: work like it depends on you; pray like it depends on The Uni-verse.

Make your primary intent not to be a "human doing" and run yourself dry. No. Make your primary intent to enjoy your life, to thrive and to be fulfilled
daily. This means letting yourself off the hook for having a limited amount of energy. It also means that because you know that you have limited energy, it's important focus on what's most important for you.

It's important to remember that in our achieving we leave room for love, for connection and for what matters most. It's no fun to be the one with the biggest pile of gold, but no friends or lovers to share it with.

When you know you are always provided for, it takes the edge off. When you know you have limits, this knowledge puts perspective on where you should keep your focus.

And when you let go, you give The Uni-verse even MORE room to fill in the blanks of your life with things even GREATER than you can now imagine.

I can sum it up for you in a few words:

Ask. Believe. Act. Let go. Receive.

Whatever you receive from working in this way will be a perfect gift. Let go a little and give The Uni-verse room to give you this beautiful gift.

The Power of Grace!

Grace has been on my mind a lot lately.

There are many definitions of Grace. The one that jumps out at me is two simple words, "a reprieve".

That is to say that Grace is a phenomenon in The Uni-verse that, even when we make all kinds of mistakes, when we mess up, when we fall down, we are given a reprieve from our mistakes.

I believe that the energy that runs The Uni-verse is Love. So, a way to capture this idea is to say that it is by the Grace of the Love of The Uni-verse that we can mess up time and time again and still make it through life happy and fulfilled. We were born to learn and tune into to this Love energy.

I can't tell you how many mistakes I have made. Everything from thinking food, drugs and alcohol were the solution to my unhappiness, to thinking my own self-importance (aka Ego) was more important than the well-being of my fellow brothers and sisters.

If this were an un-Loving Uni-verse, then putting my ego first, trying to fill myself up with things other than Love and many other mistakes, would have meant that I would have been doomed to a life of sadness, loneliness and never being fulfilled.

But as I began to turn my thoughts towards Love (of my Creator, of myself and of my brothers and sisters), towards being of service and towards solving the problems of others, life began to change. And it was THROUGH making the mistakes that I learned that there was another way.

It was the pain (at sometimes BIG pain) that eventually led me down a path of wisdom. And I was a stubborn student. I had to be brought right to the brink to finally change my ways.

I believe it was by Grace that I met people when I did, who handed me the books, or said the words that I needed to hear in that exact moment. It was Grace that kept me alive through my own foolishness as a young man. It was Grace that helped make TDL what it is today. There is NO WAY I could have done all these things by myself.

To me, Grace is the Love of The Uni-verse in action and it is something that ALL of us can receive simply because we are all children of The Uni-verse. Grace is a force that exists, not because we always get it perfect; Grace exists for us in spite of the fact that we don't get it perfect.

I've found that Grace has touched my life in increasing amounts, as I take my eyes off of myself and turn towards focusing on Love. It's almost as if there is a current of wind that is Grace and it is by setting the sail of Love that we can catch it's current.

No matter what you're going through, no matter what has happened in the past, I strongly believe that Grace is available to you if you simply turn from your, thoughts of fear and ego to thoughts of Love. The Uni-verse wants you to be happy. Can you say the same thing about yourself?

I hope that wherever you are, Grace touches your life today and that you can love yourself as much as The Uni-verse loves you.
