Introducing Virginia’s Reggae Icon – EVER-G!

Everett G. Streete, professionally known as EVER-G, hails from Cash Hill, Hanover, Jamaica and resides in Hampton, Virginia. Writing and singing conscious and uplifting songs with messages of peace, love and unity, EVER-G headlines his own shows, and has been the opening act for such greats as: Steel Pulse, Third World, Shabba Ranks, Yellow Man, Sanchez, Ky-Mani Marley and Gregory Isaacs.

With an impressive discography of 5 CD’s (Jah Love – 2010, Mission – 2005, Independence – 2003, World Peace – 1999 and Christmas Mood – 2007), EVER-G has toured across the United States, and has performed dates in Canada.  Festivals such as the Kuumba, Black Beard, Reggae @ Sunset, Caribfest, Umoja, the Afram Festival in Norfolk, VA, Hampton Bay Days, King Lincoln Festival, and Bob Marley Tribute are some of the stages the icon has graced.

In 2009, EVER-G collaborated with Canadian Dancehall artist Chatta (Best Dancehall Female, 2007) on the title track from his 3rd CD MISSION. The remix appears on Chatta's CD MANGO LOVE.  In 2009, EVER-G was commissioned to write and perform a song to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO).

Taking his accolades a step further, EVER-G’s music has been featured in the production of an independent full featured film titled “Patterns of Passion”, written, produced and directed by Patrick L. Coleman.  His music has also been featured in notable publications such as The Daily Press (TICKET Section) of the Sunday newspaper, the Knoxville Sentinel, Encore Magazine and NineVolt Magazine.

EVER-G has been compared to Beres Hammond and Freddie McGregor which he accepts as compliments, and caused the star to say “Music is at the core of my being from which I am positively inspired to write about and spread the message of peace, love and unity.”

Coco Butter from 105.3 Kiss FM in Norfolk, VA says “EVER-G’s music is a mixture of reggae and gospel to me.  It’s spiritual.  His lyrics, combined with the music, take you to another world.  It makes you escape your problems.”  One of his fans, JoAnne says “Listening to your "muzik" you can tell how much your pour your heart and soul into the lyrics. Keep enjoying life! Luv Ya!”

As EVER-G’s popularity continues to grow, the demand for live performances increases. EVER-G performs at numerous clubs, Colleges & Universities along the EAST Coast using great Reggae rhythms to electrify audiences, taking his listeners to a place of peace, love and unification.
