Ricardo Clarke
has been nominated in the 2013 Bahamian Icon Awards. The reggae artist and
youth development advocate, known for his school tours promoting positive
messages, is a well deserved nominee in the entertainment category.
Clarke released
his third album “The Uprising Vol 3: Don’t Count Me Out” this year and has
enjoyed local and international success with hit singles like “Not Settling,”
“Wasting No Time” and the title song off his current album “Don’t Count Me Out”
as well as the follow up “For A Reason.”
Clarke has
embarked on a journey of spreading positivity and promoting upliftment,
realization of potential, youth support, love and faith.
About his
nomination Clarke says, “I am especially honored and humbled that such a great
organization, recognizing excellence in varying fields, would acknowledge my
efforts. I am thrilled by the nomination but more importantly do hope that this
provides inspiration to persons in pursuit of their passion.”
The Bahamian Icon Awards will take place on July 13, 2013
at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort in Nassau, Bahamas.
