Ricardo Clarke Nominated for Bahamian Icon Award

Ricardo Clarke has been nominated in the 2013 Bahamian Icon Awards. The reggae artist and youth development advocate, known for his school tours promoting positive messages, is a well deserved nominee in the entertainment category.

Clarke released his third album “The Uprising Vol 3: Don’t Count Me Out” this year and has enjoyed local and international success with hit singles like “Not Settling,” “Wasting No Time” and the title song off his current album “Don’t Count Me Out” as well as the follow up “For A Reason.”

Clarke has embarked on a journey of spreading positivity and promoting upliftment, realization of potential, youth support, love and faith.

About his nomination Clarke says, “I am especially honored and humbled that such a great organization, recognizing excellence in varying fields, would acknowledge my efforts. I am thrilled by the nomination but more importantly do hope that this provides inspiration to persons in pursuit of their passion.”

The Bahamian Icon Awards will take place on July 13, 2013 at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort in Nassau, Bahamas.

About the Bahamian Icon Awards:

The Bahamian Icon Awards celebrates greatness. The award recognizes Bahamian Citizens who have exemplified the best intentions of the Bahamian Spirit; that of excellence and achievement. Not only that, it is the defining standard by which these attributes are measured in The Bahamas and is an opportunity to create visible heroes and role models in the community while at the same time saluting those among us who have taken up the challenge to achieve greatness.

L3 Radio Looking For Content Producers!

If anyone can get the job done, Famous Face blog readers can!

Word has just come down from the team at L3 Radio (a division of L3 Magazine) that they are looking for segment producers for the Hip Hop and Alternative segments, as well as co-producers for the Gospel and R&B segments.

What does this mean?!  It means that you have contacts with the hottest independent artists in these genres and are able to supply their music.  When you produce your segment, you will also give a brief 2 line description about the artist, their label and shows they might be doing.

What's in it for you?!  Giving artists in your network exposure to an International  audience, and increasing their spins, and credit that will sound like this:  Today's Hip Hop segment was produced by (your name here) of (name of your company here) who's making these artists famous!

If this sounds good, send a comment to this blog with your info, or send an e-mail to canadasmusicqueen@gmail.com.  We are serious about music, and all inquiries received!
