Castafari Hits with Up Before Sunrise

Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall artist Castafari is not new to the industry.  Cas, as he is more commonly called, has been performing for the past 15 years, and saw successes with the release of his songs “They Don’t like It,” “100%,” “So Lovely,” and “Steal My Joy.”  Growing over the years, Cas has a new album, new vision and is focused on engaging his fans with his newest single “Up Before Sunrise.”

Taken from his album Just Life, “Up Before Sunrise” speaks for the men in the world who wake up every morning to go to work, and enjoy the company of their significant other before leaving home.  Commenting on the song from Hit Quarters Studios where the artist does the majority of his recording, he said “I wrote this song because there are so many men out there who go to work every day and enjoy intimacy with their wife before leaving through the door.”

Castafari’s slick lyrical play on words has listeners singing the chorus which says:  “up before sunrise / praise the most high / and take a look inna your brown eyes / then I play between both thighs / make a move towards the sunshine….”

Putting visual to the lyrics, the video for the song was shot on location in Vietnam and features Cas as the lead male who sweetly embraces his lady in the morning before setting about on his day.  The video’s director, Andre Collins, was pleased with the final results saying “Vietnam and Jamaica are similar in climate so we achieved what we wanted visually.  The video is natural, which is what we wanted to achieve.”

The video, which can be seen on http://www.reverbnation.com/Castafari, www.CastafariMusic.com or www.YouTube.com/CastafariMusic. So far the video has been enjoyed by over 5,000 viewers and rapidly growing since its release a few months ago.  Fans can stay up to date with Castafari by following him on Twitter @Castafari

Singing Melody Releases Video for Collide

With the global success of Singing Melody’s song “Collide” Shem Music Group has just released the video, adding momentum in market anticipation for the January 17th, 2012 release of the artists forthcoming album ‘They Call Me Mr. Melody.’

The video, shot entirely on location in Kingston, Jamaica, flows with the theme of a couple who is separated due to a mistake made on the part of the man.  That mistake sees his in jail for some time, causing both he and his girl to reflect on happier times they experienced together.  Singing Melody is the driving force throughout the video as his character drives the bus which connects the memories from the past, with the reconciliation of the future.

While on the set of the video shoot, Singing Melody was asked why he played the role of the bus driver, and not the male lead to which he replied “I liked the idea of me driving the bus because of what the bus represents in the video and to the theme of the song.  The bus is just as important as the couple going through the difficulty!”

The video’s director, Asha McHail, from Far Eye Films, achieves video and cinematic success as audiences are held to the story displayed in every second of the video whose run time is 4:17.  As for the plot twist at the end, the director says “we wanted to tease the audience and give them a surprise ending!”

Fans can see the full video on Singing Melody’s YouTube channel:  http://www.youtube.com/user/SingingMelodyJM or by requesting the video from their favourite music channel across the Caribbean!

Latest Release from Dancehall Artist Fuze!

HOTTT New Music!  Fuze – Can’t Stop Mih

If you set a goal to reach a certain destination, or achieve to be the best in your field, can anyone stop you?  The answer is ‘no,’ and that answer is also the basis for which Dancehall artist Fuze sings the chune “Can’t Stop Mih.”

On behalf of all those who are going through obstacles because family is trying to block them, situations in life are trying to block them, or even ‘haters’ are trying to block them, Fuze lets it be known that you will not stop.  Pree the lyrics:

“dem can stop me / no matter how they try / the limit is the sky / dem can stop me / dem nah guh see me fail / forever we ah fly / dem can stop me….”

This song is a 'must add' to the Dancehall selection on your iPod!
