Follow Your Bliss!

Shared by Mastin from The Daily Love.com

“If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in your field of bliss, and they open doors to you.  I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be."  - Joseph Campbell

Chances are if you have a dream that you want to live you've never lived it before. Which means you don't have the feeling place or the experiential reference point for what living your dreams feels like.

Why do you think a guy like Donald Trump can go from such abundance, to bankrupt and then bounce back? Because his set point in his mind and body is one of abundance. Not only does he know what it feels like to have an abundant life, he has the knowledge it takes to create that kind of life.

The bottom line is that Trump could come back from being financially down and out because he knew it was possible, knew what his desired outcome felt like and knew what to do in order to make it happen.

The same kind of outcome is available to all of us. The main pattern I see, over and over again with many folks in the TDL Community, is that they don't have the belief that it is possible to live their dreams; they don't know what it feels like, and even if they believed and knew what it felt like, they don't know what action to take in order to make their dreams come true.

The potential, the possibility for living our dreams exists, but many of us just don't believe it. And that lack of belief stops us dead in our tracks. And if we do believe, perhaps we don't know what action to take - and that stops us dead in our tracks. Sometimes, especially if we are entrepreneurs (like I am), we don't know what the next three steps will be. But we know what the next step is, and we take it. There is a fine line between having a plan for success and allowing ourselves to be guided by The Uni-verse.

There is a sweet spot that exists between knowledge, belief, action and faith where we must live. A plan without faith doesn't carry the spiritual power with it. Faith without a plan isn't grounded enough to have any impact in the real world. And not believing in yourself or the Whispers of The Uni-verse means we are no longer creating our lives, but instead letting our circumstances dictate what is possible for us.

Since many of us have never lived our dreams, we MUST surround ourselves with people who have BEEN THERE BEFORE! They are our Wayshowers, our mentors and those who can help guide our path to our desired outcome. They know it's possible and can help us create a strategy and course of action that has the greatest chance of success.

Whatever you want to be, do or live, getting advice from people who excel in your field will be invaluable. People who haven't lived the dream don't know what is truly possible. They are where they are because they are who they are. That is true across the board. Life has infinite possibilities of outcomes; it is up to US to create the outcome. We take a massive leap towards success when we surround ourselves with people who have been there before and listen to what they have to say. It's important to still trust ourselves, but if we can't see exactly where we want to go - mentors and Wayshowers can help us get there.

L3 Magazine - November, 2011

L3 Magazine Presents:  The Caribbean Queen Alison Hinds,
Jamaica’s Wayne Wonder, and Toronto’s Kid Famous!

Canada’s leading Caribbean-Urban online publication, L3 Magazine, has just released their November edition which sees the team connect fans and readers with The Caribbean Queen, Alison Hinds, Jamaica’s Wayne Wonder and Toronto’s Kid Famous.

Interviewed in Barbados, Alison Hinds opens up on the encouragement she received from her Mom regarding her music career, and also opens up on the passing of her Father and the importance of forgiving and letting go of past hurts.  When speaking of the Soca industry, Alison shares that she is happy to see so many females stepping up and out and the fact that she would like to see more females in the business.

Quick Tease!  What was the inspiration for Alison’s monster hit “Roll It Gyal” and how long did it take her to record it?!  We have the answers!

Wayne Wonder is one of Jamaica’s most celebrated artists who scored hit records with “Saddest of My Life,” “No Letting Go” and “Bounce Along” among several other musical successes including a Grammy nomination and winning a BMI Songwriters Award.  When we connected in Florida, the star told us about his creative process when making music, as well as his alter-ego Surprise.  The artist also shares his views on the recording process today compared to when he first began in the business.  This is an interview you don’t want to miss!

When it comes to the Road to Centre Stage, no one can tell you about the scenery and terrain en route more accurately than Toronto’s Kid Famous.  We caught up with the Kid in Toronto and were impressed with the importance he places on his branding and marketing in addition to his music.  As he says ‘your marketing speaks to your fans for you so you have to be careful what you use to represent you.’

The Kid talks success of the record “I Wanna Know Your Name” featuring Oh!, his upcoming series of mixtapes (one of which will be hosted by Hot 97’s DJ Kay Slay) as well as his signature cartoon created for the drop of his newest single with Melanie Durrant called “This Chick is Crazy” produced by Boi 1 Da.  The Kid is taking the business of music and repping Toronto to a ‘whole nother level!’

L3’s star writer, Heike Wollenweber gives us a review on the Wynwood Art Fair in Miami, and also gives an update on the video launch for L.I.A.T.I.’s “Believe” on the Caribbean’s Tempo TV.  Additional highlights in the November edition of L3 Magazine include Damian Jr. Gong Marley’s movement to Set Up Shop, Toronto’s rising Dancehall sensation Faze and his song “Juss Life Dat,” and Hemp Higher music in partnership with Inspired Records releases the Moonlight riddim.  Londyn Nikole’s beauty advice for eyelashes as well as product picks for face creams perfect for our readers is included as are the top Fall trends from Fashion editor Sheleen Royal!

This month we give the gents some eye candy by way of Stacey Callender who was selected by Nikki Rich Models to be Miss. November!   Our top 20 Music Downloads, a continuation of the play A Private School and more await you at www.L3Magazine.com!

"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade..."

This simple quote is one that represents perseverance, endurance, the drive to accomplish the best in any given situation, and the propelling force behind the legendary Collin Hines, one of Jamaica's top Dee-Jays. Not many can walk in the shoes of this creative genius... he is one of the few who has achieved the task of being a prominent and long standing figure in the radio business considering the fact that he has been doing it since 1994!  Throughout the course of his career, it is safe to say that he has earned the title of being the "Father of Mainstream Mixing" as he can be credited for being highly influential in popularizing the “mixing” technique on mainstream radio.

His work is not confined to the borders of Jamaica as he has displayed his talents within the Caribbean, in islands such as The Bahamas, Antigua and Barbados, and beyond to other points of the globe such as Japan, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Canada, and several cities in the United States.

He has worked with other Jamaican entertainers such as Baby Cham, and Voicemail, both of whom he has toured with and to further demonstrate his artistic ability, he has made several mixed tapes, a few of which he collaborated with the infamous Jamaican producer, Dave Kelly.   It does not stop there!!  Collin can be seen on television as one of the judges on Heineken Green Synergy, where Jamaican viewers see him as the main, and more significant, judge on the panel. He is a frequent guest on another television show - Guinness Sounds of Greatness.  You can see him live and in action as a judge, this Friday at the finals which will be held at the Chinese Benevolent Centre. Otherwise, you can hear him live and mixing up a storm, on Fame FM on Wednesday 9pm-12 pm, Saturdays 1pm-5pm and Sundays 2pm-7pm.

All Life Events are Connected and Interconnected

Shared by The Daily Om.com

"All of the events in our lives lead to other events, they are all connected."

Sometimes we have an experience that we don’t understand, but if we look deeply, or wait long enough, a reason for that experience will usually reveal itself. All the events in our lives lead to other events, and all that we have manifested in this present moment is the result of past events and experiences. We cannot easily tease apart the many threads that have been woven together to create our current reality. Experiences that don’t make sense, as well as any that we regret, are just as responsible for the good things in our lives as the experiences we do understand or label as “good.”

This is especially important to remember at times when we feel directionless or unsure of what to do. It is often at times like these that we take a job or move to a place without really knowing if it’s the right thing to do. We may ultimately end up leaving the job or the place, but often during that time we will have met someone who becomes an important friend, or we may have an experience that changes us in a profound way. When all the pieces of our life don’t quite make sense, we can remember that there may be some hidden gem of a reason that we are where we are having the experiences we are having.

It’s fun to look back on past experiences with an eye to uncovering those gems—the dreadful temporary job in a bland office building that introduced you to the love of your life; the roommate you couldn’t tolerate who gave you a book that changed your life; the time spent living in a city you didn’t like that led you into a deeper relationship with yourself. Remembering these past experiences can restore our faith in the present. Life is full of buried treasures. Chances are, you’re sitting on some right now.
