Throwback Thursday! Ah Fih Fly Out Riddim

Greetings!

The first engine powered airplane to fly did
so in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in 1903.
At the design of Orville and Wilbur Wright,
their patented 'flying machine' revolutionised
how we have come to know travel today!

Daddy Lizard recorded these famous words
in 1986:  Anyting mih say / unno say "haffi
fly out" / pon a British Airway / pon dih new
concord / we haffi fly out ...!  A popular expression
after the release of this chune and riddim was
"foreign caan miss me!"

Produced by Winston Riley for the Techniques
label, Daddy's chune named the 'Ah Fi Fly
Out' riddim which was an immediate hit with
fans, as most were eager to 'fly out.'  Some
of the countries most travelled to were England,
the U.S. and Canada.  Despite what some
younger generation artists think, Artists travelled
to places like Japan and Germany regularly!

Trust me when I tell you, this is the type of
riddim to a 'buss' a dance if dropped at the right
time with the right speech!

Broadcasting at 320kbps, catch Daddy Lizard,
Sanchez, Flourgon and Courtney Melody on
the 'Ah Fih Fly Out' riddim here:

P.S.  Courtney Melody's chune "Bad Boy" was
featured on the recently released Winston Riley
Quintessential Techniques for the Reggae
Anthology series for VP Records.  If you don't
have this double disk, it's a must add to your
collection!
