Caribbean Fever Irie Jamboree Music Festival is North America's largest music festival featuring music from multiple genres exclusively from the Caribbean region. The festival will showcase a kaleidoscope of Caribbean musical luminaries headlined by reggae's current hottest performer, musical magician Damian 'Jr. Gong' Marley.
This explosive new musical celebration combines two previous hit concerts- Irie Jamboree and Caribbean Fever. The three day event takes place at the ultra luxurious Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City August 30 to September 1 over the Labor Day Caribbean Carnival weekend.
The first night, August 30 shines the spotlight on Creole French music and will feature the internationally acclaimed zouk band Kassav from Guadeloupe and Martinique alongside Haitian hip hop star Wyclef Jean. Tabou Combo will also play on Friday, as will other stars from the Caribbean Francophone world.
On night two, 'Carnival Mania,' Saturday August 31, the soca sensations will sizzle. On the front burner will be Bunji Garlin, Fay-Ann Lyons, Edwin Yearwood, Alison Hinds and Iwer George.
Night three Sunday, September 1, 'Irie Jamboree' will be headlined by the newly crowned monarch of reggae Jr. Gong Marley in his first New York City post coronation performance. Irie Jamboree will be mystifying Marley magic as the new king welcomes New Yorkers to Jamrock. Other superstars on reggae Sunday night are Grammy winner Shabba Ranks, hit machines Capleton and I-Octane with more reggae acts to be announced before blastoff.
