L3 Magazine May Issue ft. OMI!

The May issue of L3 Magazine has finally been released, and features on the front cover, one of Jamaica’s fastest rising stars, OMI!

With his recently released songs “Cheerleader,” “Fireworks” and “My Old Lady” doing so well internationally, OMI has become the centre of attention not just in Jamaica, nor the Caribbean, but globally.  Racking up more than a half million views on YouTube for his video’s, Natasha Von Castle asks about his music, song writing, and his special relationship with his Mother and family.

How did OMI reply when Natasha asked “What was your Mom’s reaction when she heard the song “My Old Lady?!”

Heike Dempster sits down with Atlanta’s Mix Master David who opens up about music and party planning as well as performing in Jamaica and what it takes to be a success as a DJ.  Ayeola George sits down with Cen’C Love who shares how fashion and music intertwine in her life as well as what it takes to balance family with career.

Kevin Crown is a Natural Born Club Killer and he makes no apologies for his profession!  As one of the best radio and club personalities from New York, Kevin has performed for fans around the world, but had a scary experience which caused him to play as a DJ with one arm.  What was that experience?

Mission Catwalk is back for a new season on TV J and we are excited about the contestants from across the Caribbean.

On the menu this month, Jimmy Tambou serves us Eggplant Burgers with Sweet Potato fries, and Petra Lapiste quenches our thirst with Orange Mango Rum Punch.  Also included in the May issue are music charts, centerfold, and an exclusive download from DJ Raize.  All this and more at www.L3Magazine.com

Outlook Music Festival 2013 - Pula, Croatia

Broadening Outlook Festival’s musical exploration for 2013, the festival is thrilled to announce an exclusive warm up concert confirmed to take place in the incredible location of a Roman amphitheatre in the historic city of Pula, Croatia. Around 2000 years old and one of the six largest Roman amphitheatres in the world, the remarkable venue will showcase a performance from The Original Wailers plus more artists to be announced in what is guaranteed to be an exceptional evening of entertainment.

Bringing together a selection of artists they felt would fit seamlessly within the ancient walls of this unique and beautiful setting, Outlook Festival continues to explore the breadth of sound system culture by inviting reggae pioneers The Original Wailers to perform music from their legendary record ‘Exodus’ as well as some of their other best loved hits. The festival has always shown great respect to the heritage of sound system music having previously showcased musical heroes such as Horace Andy, Max Romeo, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and many more over the years. The Original Wailers, the band who supported reggae innovator Bob Marley are the perfect fit for a venue of this magnitude.
With a selection of the festival’s DJs confirmed to provide the soundtrack between live acts and further additions still to be made, Outlook Festival is excited to share what will be a memorable evening of music in a truly remarkable setting. Outlook has worked in partnership with the city of Pula to present the evening of musical exploration and the event will be open to festival goers and the general public alike, priced at the very reasonable €16 (+ BF). Outlook decided to keep the ticket price as low as possible in order to encourage as many festival goers and Pula locals to enjoy an amazing concert at such a historical venue. Information on transport between the festival campsite and the arena will be coming soon.
