♠ HOTTT New Reggae! ♠ Suga Roy ft. Jahvanti - Falling in Love!

Beres Hammond has paved a smooth road for artists who come after him.  His brand of
Reggae gave birth to Lovers Rock which is a sub-genre of Reggae, and one that is embraced
by all people no matter what their background!

Paying respect to Beres, is Suga Roy and Jahvanti with their cover of Beres's classic
"Falling in Love!"

With the riddim rebuilt by Suga Roy for FireballRecords, Jahvanti offers the smooth Beres style vocals while Suga intro's the chune with somespice in his DJ'd lyrics: "well yuh see Jahvanti / dat girl ah mash up yuh mind / cho mek she know man nuh waste time!"

With that, Jahvanti goes into the memorable lyrics:

"thought I could live without you / thought everything
would be fine / there's nothing special about you /
still you were plaguing my mind / I used to take
you for granted / you were the last thing on my
mind / presently you're the most wanted / at the
top of my line ...!"

Similar to the fantastic vibes between Buju Banton and Beres is the comparison we would give to Suga and Jahvanti with this chune!

♠ The Mania Has Hit! ♠ Justin Beiber Invades Reggae!

At the age of 16, he has every teen flocking to get get a picture, and hooked on his lyrics like how we're hooked on chocolate!  His groupies and fans are not like the ones of yester-year, instead, they can make you a trending topic on @Twitter which comes equipped with the most cruel comments, or the most positive ones.

In the case of Suga Roy & Jahvanti, we know the comments are going to be positive as they
did a good job with the chune!

Suga Roy & Jahvanti have just released their cover of the Beiber's massive hit called "Baby"
which is currently receiving good radio play in Jamaica, and is now ready to be shared with the
world!

Jahvanti sings the verse, while Suga Roy DJ's the chorus to a nice uptempo Dancehall riddim which is a nice transition between a Reggae set and a Dancehall set!
Click on the title below to preview the song on youtube, and make sure to leave comments that we can pass on to Suga and Jahvanti!

♠ HOTTTTT New Reggae! ♠ Gregory Isaacs ft. Suga Roy - Soon Forward!

Greetings!

One of the sweetest combinations I've heard
recently is that of Suga Roy and Gregory Isaacs
The chune is called "Soon Forward" and has
a bit of an interesting story to it.

The original was performed by Gregory in 1979
and was an instant hit.  Suga Roy always loved
the riddim and the chune and made it a mission
to one day perform on the riddim.

Fast forward to 2003, and this is where we find
Suga Roy and Gregory Isaacs in the studio recording
the updated version of "Soon Forward."

The location was Bobby Digital's studio at 8 Ron's
Road in Jamaica, and the vibes were at a high.
Suga re-licked the riddim and that was all Gregory
needed to hear.

Laying down smooth and sweet vocals, Gregory
romanced the riddim with his lyrics.  Suga, gave
the chune some grit with his DJ style and the rest
is history.  The two artists play off of the punchline
'turn me on' making this chune a renewed classic!

Broadcasting at 320kbps and being released for the
first time since its recording, catch Gregory Isaacs
and Suga Roy with the chune "Soon Forward" here:

This song will be debuted with Sir Daddy D on

Culture to Culture: Happy Birthday Suga Roy!

Greetings!

For the past few weeks we've been exploring Joe
Gibbs via music, and the adventure continues a
little more.

In 1978, Joe Gibbs, along with Coxsone Dodd and
a few others produced the song "Jah Jah See Dem
Ah Come" which was performed by Joseph 'Culture'
Hill, becoming a Reggae anthem and a hit record
for the group Culture.

The chune was an instant hit because of the lyrics:
'jah jah see dem ah come / but I n I ah conqueror...'
The problems and challenges our Mother and Fathers
faced in their day, are no different than what their
parents faced, which is no different than what we
face today.  In the end, we conquer our problems
and trials; that's why we're here!

30 years later, the song was adapted to include
the vocals of Suga Roy & Conrad Crystal ft.
Gyptian and went to the #1 spot in England and
stayed on the charts for several weeks.  The remake
of the chune also gained the trio new fans who
appreciate Culture's music and legacy.

Broadcasting at 320kbps, catch Suga Roy & Conrad
Crystal ft. Gyptian and "Jah Jah See Dem Ah Come"
here (the original studio version from Culture, as
well as Culture performing the chune live are included
in the download pack).

P.S.  Happy Birthday to Suga Roy who celebrates
his birthday today, October 19th, 2010!

on the chune "Hot Long Time" where he compliments
his girl on how HOTTTTT she looks.  Make sure
you lock in pon dih vibes!

Strugglas is changing lanes just a little with some
Dancehall vibes.  His chune "Temperature Rizin'"
embraces elements of Hip Hop and will make a
perfect transition chune from one genre to the other!

Broadcasting at 320kbps, catch all three chunes

♣ HOTTT New Music! ♣ Faith Evans ft. Snoop Dogg + Trey Songz ft. R. Kelly & Tyrese + Bling Dawg ft. Bruno Mars + More!

Greetings!

Suga Roy & Conrad Crystal are very outspoken
about the "Bloodshed in Tivoli" to the point that
they have recorded a chune addressing the issue.

Speaking on behalf of the innocent people who have
lost thier lives while Police and Military search for
a wanted man, Suga Roy & Conrad Crystal outright
call the powers that be 'liars,' not believing the number
of people who have died.  This dynamic duo thinks
the number is higher.

So far, the chune has received a good amount of
airplay in Jamaica,a nd is now spreading around
the world.  Catch the chune here:

Sean Kingston ft. Nicki Minaj + More!

Greetings!

There is a very important man in Toronto,
Canada who goes by the name Roy Gordon
Roy is the backbone to CARN 98.7FM.
Toronto does not have an all Caribbean radio
station, instead we have 'borrowed' time; 12-2pm
on one station, 6-9pm on another and 12-5am
on a third etc.

Mr. Gordon proposed to change that when
he petitioned the CRTC (Canadian Radio and
Television Commission) to grant him a point
on the dial.  The CRTC gave the proposal consideration,
and today, CARN 98.7 is operating in test mode.
Mr. Gordon would like your support.  If you're
in Toronto, tune in.  After you've listened, send
in your feedback here.  We need this, Canada
needs this.  Thanks in advance for your support!

P.S.  I got an e-tap the other day from a good
bredrin who asked me to break down Major
case you have the same inquiry, they are musical
composition that begin in a major key and end
in a minor key (the parallel minor).  The most
famous example is Beethoven's Symphony
No. 5!
