Italy’s ‘Barry White’ of Reggae, Mr. Raymond Wright

has just released a new chune to the network called

“Things” which I know you’re listeners are going to

LOVE!

In the chune, Raymond speaks to the powers that be

telling them that he doesn’t want to hear things that

don’t make sense.  He doesn’t want to hear anything

about false promises, instead he wants to focus on the

light that shines within him which allows him to see far

and wide, and through the illusions.

The song is set to a Lover’s Rock riddim which initially

Makes you think the song is about his girl.  The lyrics

tell a different story!  Pree the first of the lyrics:

‘don’t tell me bout the things you know / don’t make

sense / been hard enough to live on false promises /

I’ll hold you to your language / I’ve got no time to joke /

Much to the surprise of artists, managers and fans alike, there were no chart changes for this week’s charts!  All artists retain the same position as they did last week.  We were given some incite from DJ’s on the west coast (Vancouver and Alberta) who have a few new artists they’ll be introducing to the charts next week.  Who will it be?!  We have to wait and see!

Please note:  A song becomes a new entry if voted in by the DJ’s.

The charts are compiled by votes from Radio personalities in Vancouver, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia (the equivalent of saying California to New York).  Each DJ’s vote carries a weight of 60% of a songs ranking on the charts.  After the DJ’s cast their votes, voting is then opened to artists, managers and fans which holds a weight of 40% of the songs ranking on the charts.

People in Europe know Raymond Wright for the incredible Lovers Rock singer he is, and now they're about to know him as the man who covers Gregory Isaacs!

The tribute show, organised by Ting Entertainment, will see two dates of November 27th, and December 15th, 2010 where Wright performs select chunes from the Cool Rulers catalog.
