Snoop Lion’s Reincarnated at SXSW

On Thursday March 14th, 2013, SXSW film fans will preview one of the most talked about documentaries in the urban community; Reincarnated.  The film officially hits select theatres on March 15th, giving SXSW fans an exclusive preview at Paramount Theatre, 4:30 pm!

"Reincarnated" follows Snoop Dogg on a spiritual journey as he immerses himself in Rastafari, explores musical and religious histories deeply rooted in Jamaica, and reemerges from his experience as "Snoop Lion". Recording an album with world-renowned hitmaker Diplo and his Major Lazer production team, Snoop draws on recent personal experiences for lyrical inspiration. An exploration of modern Jamaica and meetings with the Nyabinghi Rasta and the family of urban legend Christopher Dudus among others also influence Snoop's new view of the world. He is leaving behind his days as a gangsta rapper and re-emerging as an avatar for peace, extolling the virtues of the Rasta lifestyle.

♠ HOTTT New Reggae! ♠ Sizzla ft. Half Pint, Jimmy Riley & Fanton Mojah - Selassie is the King!

Greetings!

Sizzla, alongside Half Pint, Jimmy Riley and Fanton Mojah have decided to close out the year 2010 and open 2011 with a proclomation:  'Selassie is the King!'

Performed to a sweet one drop riddim, each artists contribution repeats the message that Rastafarian's around the world knows, which becomes the song's punchline.

When we hear this song, we're reminded how far Jamaica has come, and thwe world for that matter, in term's of accepting Rasta's.  In the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's, Rasta's were hunted, tortured and killed because of their choice to wear dreadlocks.  Many of them had to hide in the hills to avoid cruelty perpetrated by those who didn't understand their faith.  Celebrating their faith openly was forbidden, much less recording a chune like this!

Today, not only are Rasta's respected, there are some who wear dreadlocks as a fashion statement which promotes Rastafari visually!

Broadcasting at 320kbps, and 89 BPM, catch Sizzla, Half Pint, Jimmy Riley and Fanton Mojah on this beautiful chune "Selassie is the King" by clicking the song title above the picture.  As always, share your feedback so we can pass it on!

:: ♥ Gather Together! ♥:: Jahbandis - What A Joy!

Greetings!

Almost one month ago, Jahbandis delivered
a reminder message to us saying "Jah Will
Neva Leave."

Today, Jahbandis chants "What A Joy" of
salvation to be in Jah deliverance.  These
words are set to a sweet blend of drumming,
melodic bassline, and emphasis from back
ground singers who help to bring home the
point that Jah's deliverance is a joy!

Deeply spiritual, this chune brings all who
hear it together!  I admit that this chune is
not for Dancehall selectors, however, for those
who know they will have to play for a diverse
audience at some point in time, or for those
who will have to play at a Rastafari gathering,
this chune is a 'must add' to your playlist.

Broadcasting at 320kbps, catch Jahbandis
and their new chune "What A Joy" here:

P.S.  Jahbandis thanks you for all your support.
Since their introduction to the network, they've
performed at the Sierra Nevada Reggae Festival,
and have worked with Don Carlos.  Positive
vibes with more to come!
