Charity song project - “We Must Rise Again”

The people in Tohoku, Japan have been suffering in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit on March 11, 2011. The Japanese people have always supported reggae, and now reggae would give back to Japan by way of a charity song. Japanese owned Diamond Edge Records along with artists like Third World, Gyptian, Cherine Anderson, Lukie D, Bushman, Ghost, G-Whizz, Duane Stephenson, Chevaughn, Junior X, Ginjah and Anthony Que came together to record a single song. Norris Webb of Third World produced the track which was mastered by engineer “Tats” who did Kayne West’s College Dropout Album (which was nominated for eleven Grammy Awards).The song will be available on iTunes, Amazon MP3 and ringer song web sites in Japan.  All the sales from downloads will be donated to the Japanese earthquake victims through Japanese Red Cross. The sales report will be posted on Facebook fan page and blog of Diamond Edge Records.

Thank You Japan...

The recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan has captured the attention of most of us.  Either we have friends / family / fans there, or we have business interests, or we connect with the tragedy on a human level.  Regardless of how or why we connect, Japan and its' devastation has impacted us all.

We don't have the right words to bring comfort to those who have experienced loss, and We don't have words to shield us from the after effects that will hit all of us environmentally, financially and beyond.  Instead, we have two simple words:  thank you.

Thank you to the Japanese for being a part of our global existence.  Thank you to Japan for the incredible contributions you have made to technology and more.  Thank you for being our friend, our partner and at times our ally.

The world supports you as you rebuild.  Your rebuilding is our rebuilding.  We love you Japan.  Please continue to stay strong...
