Kayyo Impresses Meek Mill in Minnesota

Rising Dominican hip-hop artist KAYYO (pronounced:/Kei/oh) opened for US rapper Meek Mill at a concert in St. Paul Minnesota on Friday March 8th to rave reviews.

The 20 year-old artist/producer (born Jordan George) thoroughly impressed the capacity crowd at the Myth venue with his delivery of three songs at the start of the show which was headlined by the Maybach Music Group rapper. KAYYO performed his versions of “Something”, and “Starting from the Bottom”- two songs by Canadian rapper Drake. He also performed an original track “Talk About It” which he originally recorded with his brother Geremie‘Jaffe’ George. 

"I am really happy with my performance. This was definitely a dream come true because I am a huge fan of Meek Mill, said the GShine Records artist. "I am also very glad about the new fans I have made who not only got introduced to my music but to Dominica as well."

After a video of his performance was posted YouTube, new fan Tonya J stated, “KAYYO did his thang. He now has lots of fans in MN!” Another YouTube viewer, 00Dredd wrote, “I ain’t a big fan of rap.. but this young boy got some major skills and a bright future in the business” KAYYO has been steadily gaining fans in Dominica in the last year, with the release of his debut video "Get to Know You" which garnered 12,000 YouTube views less than a month after its August 17 2012 premiere. He has also widened his fan base with collaborations with local acts including Remie-D (“Say What’s Real”), CHOEB (“On Me”) C Menace (“No Love”) and Rimz (“Get To Know You”, “All or Nothing”, “Smile”). His debut mixtape Constellation was a collaborative effort with Dominican rapper Jamie ‘Rimz’ Pollock. KAYYO is also featured on the Friday Freaks mixtape produced by Callian ‘Falcon DaDon’ James.

With over 100 songs under his belt KAYYO is ready to capture the US market. His Remember Me mixtape debuted on leading mixtape promotion site DatPiff.com in partnership with Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes and GShine Records in 2012 and KAYYO is gearing up for his the release of his third mixtape Reevaluation on Wednesday March 13 2013 on the popular site. Fans have overwhelmingly voted him to perform at Coast2Coast Live on March 21 in Chicago Illinois in front of a panel of celebrity judges.

Meek Mill Performs in Toronto Plus The Meek Mill Foundation

Since the release of his first single, "Tupac Back" featuring Rick Ross, Meek Mill has been one of the hottest artists in the Hip Hop game.  With the heat Meek has been packing, it comes as no surprise that fans in Toronto are demanding a live performance!

Welcoming in Spring, Meek Mill will be performing at the historic Phoenix Concert Theatre in the heart of Toronto (410 Sherbourne Street) on Saturday April 28^th, 2012.  Performing hits such as “Ima Boss,” “Moment for Life,” and his newest release, “Lean With It” fans will experience non-stop excitement!

In addition to topping the Billboard charts, Meek is focused on his career and continuing to give fans music they can use as a soundtrack to their lives.  What’s more, Meek plans to establish the Meek Mill foundation which will mentor young males between the ages of 12-24 on the importance of “Education over Incarceration.” He also plans to collaborate with United Community Action Network and the Lifers of Graterford Prison to address the violence plaguing our cities.
